What is stamping Fabrication?

Stamping is a process in which a sheet is separated or shaped to obtain a manufactured part. Stamping is a metal processing method, which is based on the plastic deformation of metal, the use of molds and stamping equipment to apply pressure to the sheet material, so that the sheet material to produce plastic deformation or separation, so as to obtain a certain shape, size and performance of the parts (stamped parts).

The blanks for stamping are mainly hot and cold rolled steel plates and strips. Of the world's steel, 60 to 70% is plate, most of which is stamped into finished products. For example, automobile body, chassis, fuel tank, radiator sheet, boiler ladle, container shell, motor, electrical appliances, iron core silicon steel sheet, etc. are stamping process.

Oepin - Types of Stamping

We offer single and multi-station, progressive dies, deep-drawing, four-slide and other stamping methods to ensure the most efficient way to manufacture your products, here is a description of what they do.

Progressive Die Stamping

Progressive Die Stamping uses multiple dies and steps to create deeper parts than

would normally be achieved through a single die. It also supports multiple geometries
per part as it passes through various dies. This technique is best suited for high volume and large parts.

Deep Draw Stamping

Deep Draw Stamping this process produces rigid parts because the extreme deformation of the metal

compresses its structure into a more crystalline form.

Fourslide Stamping

Four-slide stamping forms parts from four axes rather than from one direction. This method is used to manufacture

small, complex parts.

Hydroforming

Hydroforming is where the sheet is placed on a bottom shaped die and the top shape is an oil bladder filled with high

pressure that presses the metal into the shape of the bottom die.

Blanking

Cutting parts from sheets

Coining

Small round workpieces can be produced

Punching

Material removal from workpieces

Embossing

Created a three-dimensional design on metal

Bending

Typically used to create U, V, or L shaped cross section profiles

Metal stamping Fabrication FAQS

1.Q: What Is Metal stamping Processes?

+
A: Stamping is a forming process that relies on presses and molds to apply external forces to plates, strips, tubes, profiles, etc., to produce plastic deformation or separation, thereby obtaining workpieces of the desired shape and size (stamped parts).

2.Q: Do you support small batch metal stamping?

+

A: Most stamping programs are a minimum of 1,000 units to ensure cost-effectiveness for our customers. We offer low unit costs, even for small quantities.

3.Q: What materials should I use for my project?

+
A: Different materials are used in different industries. If you have not selected a material for your application, we can provide assistance and guidance. Usually production samples are provided for confirmation, but final customer approval is required before mass production.

4.Q: Do you offer extended molding services such as assembly, packaging or decorating?

+
A: We can provide some standard packaging services. If you need to provide customized packaging, decoration, or assembly services, please contact us.

5.Q: How long does it take to manufacture parts by metal stamping?

+
A: Longer lead times on first parts (as time is needed to create dies).Production is quick and inexpensive after tool finalization.

6.Q:Is metal stamping expensive?

+
A:Metal stamping can be quite pricey, especially for prototype products that require low-volume, short production runs.High-volume production reduces costs.
